On the 6th, 7th & 8th of August 2010, some of the best whitewater open canoe slalom paddlers in the nation will compete in the ACA Open Canoe Slalom Nationals and North American Championships at Adventure Sports Center International in McHenry, MD. In fact, paddlers from all across this country and Canada as well as few from Japan are expected to join the competition. Over 200 canoes are expected to compete during the three day event. The organizers expect a festival like atmosphere to permeate the ASCI race site on race days as well as the several practice days prior to the actual competition.


However, we need your help!

Costs at a facility like the Adventure Sports Center International, (aka ASCI), mount up fast. As we all know electric power is expensive. The ASCI river channel uses large electric pumps to create the whitewater for our cjampionships. This along with the many other costs of an event of this magnitude, mount up fast. Sponsors are need to help with these costs. The following are available levels of sponsorships:
  • $100 gets your organization's name & logo on our web site & race documents and a banner along the right side of the race course.
  • $300 gets you vender spot next to the main access path along the course to display or sell your products.
Sponsors can have access to the event race site as of 3:00 pm on Sunday August 1st. Compeitior practice starts Monday, August 2nd and runs through Thursday, August 5th. The actual race will run for three day August 6th to the 8th. During the entire schedule the ASCI rafting operation will continue to run from four to six hours each day in the mid-day time frame.
